While completing my Banana Boat Marketing Plan, I learned many critical skills that are valuable in the marketing industry. I executed 90% of this project, and I discovered that marketing plans are my niche through the process! I can: Explain the differences between a business, marketing, and subsidiary plans. Understand and explain all steps and stages in developing a marketing plan. Use primary and secondary market and marketing information sources to explore and provide solutions to practical marketing situations. Create a thorough Situational Analysis, including market and brand conditions; PESTEL and SWOT analysis; competitive set analysis. Use enhanced critical thinking skills to evaluate current market dynamics, consumer lifestyle, buying behavior, and consumer trends and, based on findings, formulate a relevant research insight. Apply strategic tools to transform marketing information discoveries into interrelated marketing objectives, strategies, and tactics. Develop a measurement plan to determine ROI resultant from the marketing programs proposed. Apply enhanced writing and speaking skills to effectively communicate and gain acceptance by stakeholders of their marketing ideas.
